Customer note: This is for a degree in Counseling for Marriage and Family Therapy. I’m in California. Two practicum sites I’ve considered are BAART Programs in Los Angeles and Tarzana Treatmenr Centers in Los Angeles. They are both addiction treatment centers.
Assignment:
Identify if you are taking any specialty track. List two sites that would be an appropriate place to complete your practicum and internship and explain. Why might you be interested in these facilities? What specialized training would these facilities offer to you? Why is this important to you? How does this affect your long-term plan? What are your state’s requirements for practicum and internship?
The DQ response must be 150-200 words and have at least one citation and one reference in APA format.
As a future counselor, it is important to have a plan for continued professional growth as well as an understanding of the required counseling dispositions. Additionally, it is considered good practice for professional counselors to join a professional counseling organization. Research a professional organization that you might join, such as the American Counseling Association (ACA), your state’s counseling association, or another relevant professional organization.
Write a 1,200-1,750-word paper in the third person about the ethical and legal considerations of the developing counselor to include professional organizations and a plan for continued professional growth. Save this assignment for your e-portfolio that will be submitted later in the program. Include the following in your paper:

Volunteerism: What standards do counselors need to uphold in a voluntary position or providing free/pro bono work? Self-Disclosure: Should counselors disclose personal information to a client? If so, when and how is it appropriate? Objectivity: Why is it important for counselors to remain objective with clients? Self-Care: How can counselors prevent professional burnout? Spirituality: How can counselors maintain spirituality in and out of practice? Counseling Dispositions: A review of three counseling dispositions as well as an analysis in regard to personal strengths and challenges in regard to the selected dispositions. A professional organization overview that includes the following:
Membership benefits, available activities, and/or services to members. Current issues addressed by the organization that is relevant to the counseling profession. Note: These items are usually listed on the association’s website, but you may research elsewhere for one or two current issues in the field. Examples of current issues could include lobbying efforts for particular populations or specialties in the field, proposed or changing laws/regulations, high-profile court cases involving ethical violations, or the like. When writing the paper, consider the following level-one APA headings to help organize the content:

Evaluate Hugos’ list of “Strategic System Builders” (p. 268) relative to identifying and pursuing supply chain (SC) opportunities. What is the value/effectiveness of these guidelines? What are the limitations/weaknesses of these guidelines? Anything missing? Would you recommend any other guidelines? Given what you know about your current organization, apply these strategic system design guidelines to your company. (Recognizing that you may not have full knowledge of all business operations) Do your best to assess your company relative to these guidelines. For example, how well do your company’s business goals and performance targets align with your current system? Does/has your current system given your company a competitive advantage? (If not, what is missing – what do you need?). Do you see any opportunities to reduce complexity, increase flexibility, and better align organizational capabilities? What is your overall conclusion regarding your company’s current system and Hugos’ Strategic Guidelines? Minimum of 2 pages; answers should include at least 1 peer-reviewed journal article as a citation upd: Designing supply chain systems or any other kind of system can quickly become a very complex undertaking. The business manager can come to feel overwhelmed by the possible choices and be tempted to leave this activity to the technical experts. Do not give in to this temptation. Business management must remain actively involved with the technical people in creating the conceptual design for the system. It is in this activity that the business manager can exercise very effective control over the strategy that the company will take to accomplish its goal. This activity cannot be left entirely to technical people because they usually do not have the depth of business knowledge that is needed to make the best decisions. The best approach is for business and technical people to work together and generate a number of possible conceptual designs. Evaluate the goodness of each conceptual design by applying the seven guidelines for the design of new systems. These guidelines provide a basis to compare different designs and to select the conceptual design that has the best chance of success. A design that respects all seven of these guidelines is the best. It may still be a workable design if one or two of these guidelines are violated (as long as it is not the first of the seven guidelines shown). If guidelines are violated, there need to be very good reasons for doing so and specific compensations made to cover those violations. Your presentation must follow APA formatting guidelines as outlined in the Writing Center, and it must include the following:
Cover slide with title, name, course name, and date. (This slide will not count towards the eight- to ten-slide requirement)
Describe your selected educational psychologist including a brief biography of where and when he was born, his educational career, and the theory for which he is known.
Explain reasons why some oppose or argue against the learning theory.
Summarize whether you agree or disagree with the learning theory and explain why.
Explain how the learning theory is relevant to you as a future educator. In other words, how does the learning theory “look” in your future classroom? Provide at least two scenarios in the classroom to explain how you would apply the learning theory in your teaching.
Your last slide should include an APA formatted list of references used to support your biography. Be sure that these sources are also cited within your presentation. (This slide will not count towards the eight- to ten-slide requirement)

Read Chapter 2 of our text regarding gender roles. Educational psychology provides teachers with an understanding of how boys and girls are wired differently, although it is cautioned not to make any generalizations because these differences are not always exhibited. It is also important for us to examine our own preconceived judgments about particular gender roles because we could unknowingly influence our students into stereotypical gender roles.
Explain a time when you might have either felt or observed gender stereotyping. Use the text to support your response.
