The moral implications of the problem of free will

Requires one paper that is to be both expository and critical. I suggest that it be 5-6 pages in length and double-spaced. I would like the paper to be in 12 font Times New Roman and to have both a cover page and a works cited page (philosophical academic source). I- Expository: you are explaining your topic as if you’re teaching it to someone else. Be impartial, don’t take sides. II- Critical: argue a position, what you think, and why you think it. Overcome one objection from the opposition. Why would someone tell you that you’re wrong?

ROI in cybersecurity

In Chapter 3 you read about managing risk; who owns risk, what are the risks, and calculating risks. It also mentions insurance. Especially due to the increase in ransomware attacks over the past few years, cyber insurance has become much more prevalent. Having cyber insurance, no matter the size of the company, can really prove as a ROI for the company. The readings also mention the difficulty of identifying that ROI in cybersecurity as many times the elements are intangible. This also makes it difficult to work with business leaders that are not in IT.

The second reading for this week identifies three ways to achieve ROI in cybersecurity – reduction in risk, compliance, and meeting business objectives. Write a paper that explains specifics of what you can do to implement these three areas into ROI for your company, BioHuman. Give examples for each. Also, consider the different types of tools and calculators that are out there to assist with coming up with the ROI. Discuss at least two different tools that you can implement to achieve this that would coincide with your examples.

What do you think outcome of Black Lives Matter Protest will be in this country?

Explain this quote from the reading “When you design an event / campaign / et cetera based on the work of queer Black women, don’t invite them to participate in shaping it, but ask them to provide materials and ideas for next steps for said event, that is racism in practice. It’s also hetero-patriarchal. Straight men, unintentionally or intentionally, have taken the work of queer Black women and erased our contributions. “ How do we see works stolen from Queer and people of color in our communities? *You must make an argument not a summary *You must cite the article at least once to help support your argument

Using place-based and problem-based learning, simulations, and tinkering in the classroom

How can you use authentic learning strategies such as place-based and problem-based learning, simulations, and tinkering in the classroom? Think about:

-The rationale for implementing authentic learning strategies

-What type of strategy that fits your future classroom demographic and teaching style

-What strategy you plan to implement and what it will look like (examples)

-Classroom management considerations

Station Nightclub Fire

The Station Nightclub Fire, with one hundred lives lost, is the fourth deadliest nightclub fire in U.S. history. This fire has had many studies and models done on what went wrong and what could have been done to prevent it. The primary focus of modeling is to provide mathematical and scientific research into the behavior and problems associated with fire. The Fire Research Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has developed different types of fire models for more than 30 years. Currently, it maintains two. The first is a “zone model” called the Consolidated Model of Fire Growth and Smoke Transport (CFAST) and the second is a “field model” called the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS). The United States government in their analysis of the Station Nightclub fire that occurred in West Warwick, Rhode Island utilized the FDS in evaluating the reason for the spread, behavior, and impact of the fire.
For this assignment, you will be researching and discussing the following aspects of the Station Nightclub Fire.

  1. Provide an overview of the Station Nightclub Fire.
  2. Discuss all aspects of fire dynamics pertaining to this fire from ignition to flashover. Be sure to include the furnishings and ignitable materials along with the fire spread and heat release rate.
  3. Discuss the new codes that were brought about as a result of this fire?
  4. Research a Fire Dynamics Simulator Model that was done on the Station Nightclub Fire and discuss the following aspects of that model:

A. Summarize the fire model simulation.

B. What were they trying to determine with this simulation?

C. What were the results of the simulation?

D. What recommendations were made as a result of the simulation?
