LESSON OUTCOMES

By the end of this lesson, you should be able to:

1. Assess the impact that the experience of the Jewish Holocaust had on the formulation of the notion of ‘crime against humanity;
2. Identify the tensions and similarities within the field between the Jewish Holocaust and other cases of genocide;
3. Articulate theories and interpretations that explain the extermination of Jews in Germany and in the rest of Europe.

The Significance of or how the Cry of the Rebellion in Pugad Lawin resulted in the Philippine Revolution of 1896. The Paper should discuss important events that led to the revolution, important events that took place during the revolution, and the importance of the revolution to Filipinos to include the state’s current status on the global arena as a result of the Philippine Revolution; and then compare and contrast the Philippine Revolution with the industrial revolution.

Paper should clearly:
• Discuss the alternatives to the current policy option by enumerating and explaining each policy option in turn. You should present several policy alternatives, and they must be serious alternatives. The alternatives presented must be serious contenders that have been weighed in terms of pros and cons.
• Pros and cons of each policy option should be discussed next. Identify the political, economic, and security implications for each option. Each policy option should be compared and contrasted to the other options as well as to the current policy. The analysis should seriously consider the feasibility of implementation, not only in terms of economic or strategic implications, but also in terms of political feasibility. There are always going to be some benefits and some costs to any policy proposal – there is no proposal so good that it does not have some costs associated with it. Trade-offs are the heart of the policy process.

Please:
• Clearly identify which option will be recommended and which options will be discounted.
• Clearly lay out the argument for why that option is better than each of the others.
• Support your arguments with both quantitative and qualitative evidence from academic and scholarly sources. Please do note overquote sources.

IMPORTANT: The Summary is required by Friday, 12pm noon and should include the following information:

1. A statement of current policy;
2. Reasons for initiation changes;
3. Policy options to be considered; and
4. Recommended course of action.

Is it important for a company to follow a strict budget even though they may be experiencing phenomenal profits? Do you think that there will be a bias towards greed when creating the budget for this company? Explain. How does management greed influence budget decisions? Please consider each of the questions separately in this post. It is important for you to understand the value of the budget as a blueprint for the business – even in times of exceptional “good news”.

It is also important to consider the role of greed within the budgeting process of the firm. Perhaps you might want to think about the budget as a communication to employees about what ownership and management believes is its focus. You might even want to see if any other of the exceptional “bad boys” in the business world were reflecting their greed even within their budgeting documents.
