One of the strategies in both the development and retention of employee-partners is initially outlining and providing support to youth placed in the workplace. To be successful, many youth will require carefully planned processes, supports, equipment, and or adaptations in the work environment. The type. level and amount of support will vary from person to person and across situations. In addition, it is important to note that the youth is not the only one that may require some level of support, Supervisors, co-workers, or anyone who might be at the worksite may also need support from the transition specialist so that they, in turn, can comfortably and effectively support the youth work experience and also benefit from the experience.
Summarize/ analyze the website content noting a) your chosen topic and reasoning for selection, b) how the website provides a resource for creating and maintaining workplace partners, c) strengths and weaknesses of the website (vs. actual content – your perspective).
