Transformation of Schools – Multicultural Project

Each student will examine a contemporary educational issue or critical policy surrounding multiculturalism.  The student will select a problem that impacts his or her current school, district, department, or grade level.  Then, the student will conduct a literature review of at least 5/10 (MED, EdS) primary, peer-reviewed sources published within the last 5 years and develop three to five recommendations/strategies based on your literature review that could address his or her established local problem.  Student will then select one of the recommendations/strategies as a basis to create and implement a project.  The final paper should be 7 to 10 pages in length and address each of the prompts within the Project Template.  The final document should follow APA (6th edition) Style Guidelines and utilize the heading within the provided template.  In addition, the student will create a PowerPoint presentation, upload it, and present it the class which will be part of the student’s dissemination plan.  This presentation should summarize the final Project’s details and be appropriate for the dissemination plan’s target audience.  Each student should utilize at least 10 hours to collaborate with stakeholders about the project and to gather information (e.g., primary literature sources) about the selected problem.
