Case 3 is an essay in which students will communicate using their own thoughts, words, and ideas (in a format of one’s choosing: video presentation, audio presentation, PowerPoint presentation, or essay) to demonstrate their ability to interpret text, organize ideas, and communicate verbally or in writing.
More specifically, the students will document their professional and educational journey.
Case Assignment
The assigned reading/viewing background materials for Module 3 included such thoughts, words, ideas, and/or concepts as stereotype, hiding, courage, generosity, humor, reality, worst moments, good life, and problems. Select two or more of these societal constructs and give your own Ted Talk.
Case 3 may be in the form of a video presentation, audio presentation, PowerPoint presentation, or essay.
There are no rules for this assignment, and students are encouraged to have some fun. Regardless of the format, consider approaching some combination of the concepts listed above as they relate to your own life experiences – past, present, and/or future – growing up, family, relationships, education, work, military, etc. The list goes on.
Please note that there is no right or wrong response here, just your ability to make a point and support it using details and examples from your own experience. Please also note that whether you prepare a video presentation, audio presentation, PowerPoint presentation, or essay, be sure to include a beginning, middle, and an end.
Open by grabbing your audience’s attention, make a point and support it with plenty of details and examples, and close with a lasting impression that connects the reader to their world.
Assignment Expectations Prepare a video presentation, audio presentation, PowerPoint presentation, or essay that addresses the societal constructs addressed in Module 3 as they relate to one’s own life.
