I’m studying for my Health & Medical class and don’t understand how to answer this. Can you help me study?

Although the standards put forth by the Meaningful Use initiative are a good place to start, why are these initiatives not enough to advance best practices in all settings? What else is needed?

IN THE LAST PARAGRAPH GIVE YOUR OPINION ABOUT THIS PAPER:

Meaningful use initiative in healthcare involves the information technology to define the minimum United States federal government standards for electronic health records (EHR) and presenting ways the medical client data needs to get transacted between insurers and clinical practitioners. The initiative standards for EHR use a program in the United States, which was unknown with providers who needed to achieve requirement slew to proving the meaningful use initiative. The initiative program was changed to the Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Programs and Medicare by the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS). However, nowadays ‘meaningful use’ term has become obsolete.

The meaningful use initiative would not be sufficient to advance the best practices in all the settings since the initiative was not popular with the providers in healthcare. it led to the overhaul of the initiative and got renamed as Medicare and Medicaid to enhance the compromise between public and clinical healthcare and support the continued standardized data exchange development. The things that are required to get done to the initiative are to break down the initiative process into phases to make it more likely to facilitate the possibility of more engaging providers. The meaningful use should get based on five main objectives, which include enhancing care coordination, reducing healthcare disparities, improve patient engagement, expanding public health, and ensuring sufficient security and privacy protection for personal health information (Wani & Malhotra, 2018). Therefore, CMS needs to enhance standards that EHR needs to meet. The standards can ensure demonstrating meaningful use in compliance with their criteria and lead to the promotion of certified EHR technologies (CEHRT). If CMS could determine a successful meaningful demonstration application, the parties in the US would get considered eligible for federal financing. The new rule from CMS stated that all the eligible hospitals under the Medicaid Promoting Interoperability Program and Medicare.
