Week 5: Budget Development You will build your budget based on last year’s revenue and expense of the Westshore University Cardiology Department. You will need to utilize the “Portfolio Project Excel Template,” opening the fourth tab, “W5-2019 Revenue & Expenses.” Be sure to review the revenue and expense document for 20-Dec and 19-Dec to determine what best fits the department’s needs for next year. You will need to provide all proper labels for your budget. Week 6: Strategic Plan From the budget, you created, develop a strategic plan on how you will use the anticipated budget in the cardiology department. Formulate at least 2 suggestions and/or amendments to the current budget. For example, if you find that the department has a demand for additional staff, you could focus your suggested strategic plan to budget for additional workers and/or adjustments to wages. This execution plan will be a minimum of 500 words. Be sure to use 2 – 3 scholarly resources on strategic planning and budgeting. HSA Bachelors: • Utilize effective skills in financial planning, project management, human resources development, public safety, and emergency disaster planning in health services administration. Medical Services Management Bachelor • Evaluate current issues in medical services settings and create plans to resolve issues and improve outcomes. For the final piece of your Portfolio Project, you will reflect upon the course and how it directly relates to your future workplace. This reflection will be delivered as a Word document 1-2 pages in length. For this reflection: a) Analyze the importance of this project to your future career. b) In your own words reflect on how this project meets the Program and Institutional outcomes as stated on the first page
