Role Play Presentation Instructions
The group will present their video enactment of therapy with the family (15-20 minute segment). The issues presented in the role-play should focus on cultural dynamics and on the middle stages of work.
Prior to the role play the group will present the following:
1. Describe the family, family history, presenting problem, history of presenting problem, medica/psychiatric/substance abuse history, referral source.
2. Produce a genogram for the class to view of the family
3. Present an assessment of the family that includes Strengths, Family Dynamics-Content, Family Dynamics-Process, and Treatment Goals
4. Describe the interventions that you will attempt to use in the role play and cite literature related to these interventions
5. After the role-play, present an analysis of the interventions used and their effectiveness. If they didn’t work discuss what you might have done differently.
My part of this group project is number 2 highlighted in RED.
