Overview
In the Course Project: Data Collection Assignment, you interviewed a client about the requirements of a decision support system you will produce for him/her. In the Course Project: Database Design Assignment, you designed the database for the system. In this phase, the Course Project: User Interface and Prototype Assignment, you will design the front end GUI for the system and create a working prototype of the system. You will also prepare a user manual describing the steps that the user must take to interact with the system in order to perform the necessary tasks. You must describe in your manual how the user will perform the actions needed to provide the information to make the decision(s) that you based your project.
Instructions
In a Word document, provide the following items:
- Section 1: Produce a mock-up of how each screen in your system will appear to the user. Include actual screen shots of the prototype that you have created.
- Section 2: Create a user manual that describes in detail (complete with screen shots) the steps necessary for the decision maker to perform his/her task.
- Section 3 (not included in your Word document – you can submit multiple files to Canvas): Produce a working prototype of your system. Remember that working prototype means that all the functions of the project is there but all the data may not be entered yet.
