There is a small town in Poland in which only girls and no boys have been born for 15 years. This situation is especially strange considering the fact, that generally more males are born than females, the birth rate equaling only because there are more miscarriages in female embryos and fetuses than in males. The scientific community is confused and seeks an explanation for the phenomenon. As an outstanding fact, it should be noted that in the town, located in a remote mining region, actually are living 343 inhabitants. In recent years only 1 to 2 children have been born per year.
