For this assignment, students will each locate one academic article, searching using either Library or Google search or another similar that is an academic article search engine such as that offered through the Library or GoogleScholar. They will each locate one article on a topic related to gender and wealth inequality or gender and income inequality. Review the article and be prepared to summarize the key points made by the article’s author(s) for other students during the live discussion meeting.
To ensure that each student is identifying a different article, please post a copy of the article, in PDF format here, using the article title as the file name. You do not need to post your notes about this article here or include as part of your article summary but you should have a set of notes that you can refer to during the discussion. If you have the article by Monday of this week I can send them out to each of you so perhaps you’ll have time to briefly review them before the discussion.
Please submit as soon as possible but the article should be posted here no later than the start of the discussion meeting.
Grading criteria will include the following:
1) Relevance of article to topic
2) Article met requirement for academic source
3) Student had prepared in advance for presentation of key points of article.
4) Student presents key points to classmates during discussion and is answers any questions they might have.
Presentation should be no more than 5 minutes with about 5 minutes for possible questions.
