You will prepare an assignment of 6 pages on a course topic.

1. Your topic will be the economic analysis of a law, rule, legal problem or legal case you choose.

2.If you need my input on your topic choice, you may email me.

3. Your assignment will be six (6) pages. A bibliography page (required) and appendices (optional) are extra pages.

4. Your analysis should be economics (not legal or descriptive) using microeconomic analysis.

5. This is an assignment, not a course paper, so when you cite the lectures, use: (Lecture “x”, Slide “y”) and the Text, use: (Cooter and Ulen, p. “x”).

6. If you use any additional sources, they should be cited in accordance with acceptable citation guidelines (for example, MLA or APA). Include these sources in your bibliography at the end of your Assignment.

1. At the time of your submission, there will be a portal on the course Quercus where you can upload your Assignment.
2. The rules against plagiarism apply and Ouriginal will be applied to each Assignment. (Course Outline – pp. 12-14) For example, if you consult with members of the class on this Assignment, you must cite this in your Assignment. Copying, cutting and pasting lengthy quotes, etc., even with citations, is still regarded as a form of plagiarism at U. of T.
