WU Danny Behavioral Manifestations Signs Symptoms & Risk Factors Analysis

I don’t know how to handle this Writing question and need guidance.

  1. DSM-5 Criteria: Based on Danny’s behavioral manifestations, signs, symptoms and risk factors, what categories (e.g. substance related disorders, anxiety disorders, etc.) of diagnoses would you want to assess Danny for and why?
  2. Provisional Diagnoses: Choose your top two to three diagnoses (e.g. alcohol use disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, etc.) from the categories above and explain why you would begin your assessment with these diagnoses. Use DSM-5 language and/or criteria to explain your rationale.
  3. Diagnostic Overshadowing: Danny has a group of socially constructed diagnoses along with an Intellectual/Developmental Disorder diagnosis. How could diagnostic overshadowing (when one diagnosis becomes the explanation for all of the person’s symptoms rather than exploring how the person might have co-occurring conditions) apply to Danny because of his current diagnoses?
