As taxpayers, we expect our police agencies to operate in an ethical manner. Enforcing the laws is very complicated, which is why officers have discretion. In a 2-3 page paper, using APA 6th edition format, discuss if officers are held to the same standard or higher than other professions. Explain why you feel they should or shouldn’t be held to a higher standard. Finally, discuss the stress associated with a career as a police officer. At least 3 sources are required.

The individual paper is worth up to 125 points toward the final grade and will be graded according to the rubric in the online classroom. In-text source citations, as well as your reference list, should both be in alignment with APA 6th edition citation form and style.
