WRITING ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS

APA format must be used on all writing assignments and have substantial supporting scholarly references.

  • Proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. will be a part of your grade.
  • No direct quotes are to be used in completing the writing assignment
  • The length of the writing assignment should be a minimum of two pages double-spaced, NOT including the title or reference page.
  • These assignments are to be in a Word Doc. or PDF format (Times Roman 12 or similar). I will not accept any   other format.
  • Use a minimum of two credible sources to support your reasoning, one source may be the textbook. All sources   including the textbook must be referenced.
  • Only scholarly journals, legal sources, books, and articles from reputable newspapers & magazines will be acceptable. No BLOG, organizational websites, etc. are to be used for these assignments.

Failure to follow these instructions will result in an automatic deduction of points.

Turnitin will be utilized for these assignments and an “Originality” report generated for you upon submission (this report should be a 12-15% Original, anything higher may indicate plagiarized work). Please read about Turnitin so you have an understanding of the process. Re-submission of work will be allowed until the due date.   All work will be considered as the FINAL document upon the due date. I suggest utilizing this tool regarding the writing assignments as it may be beneficial to guard against PLAGIARISM.
