This class has been an introduction to STS, a field that uses an interdisciplinary approach to study science, technology, and society. Your task in this final assignment is to write an essay that explains STS. What are the main concerns of this field? What are its big ideas? What does one need to know to be conversant in STS and STS-style analysis? Why take an STS approach to studying science, technology, and society? For this final assignment, you will use your STIITN （Science and Technology Issue in the News）as an exemplary case from which to explore the above questions about STS.
