- Direct quotes make sure you introduce, integrate, and analyze. Don’t simply “drop in” quotes.

- Body: topic sentence that includes both texts and how they connect or differ; identify a strategy and rhetorical appeal from the podcast and connect to a piece of evidence; synthesize the secondary text; provide direct evidence for both texts; analyze & evaluate effectiveness; address the assumptions both authors make of their audience and how those assumptions affect the argument; wrap up body paragraph with final evaluation
- Conclusion: So what? Bigger picture? Why should we care? What is currently going on with your topic now? How can your topic be addressed in the future? Etc.
