Using LateX to write a paper about a theorem or result or theory incorporating elements like matrices, diagrams, graphs, images or other types of graphics. Include a discussion using the elements as an aid in motivating and explaining the result.” With clear definition, theorem, and proof.
The minimal number of pages for this assignment is 3, with each graphical element (table, matrix, image, etc) counted not more than 1/6 of a page (even if occupies more), and bibliography is not included in the count.
Suggestion: try to look for topics which are better understood with graphics. Some ideas:
- Basis in Linear algebra.
- Inner product in linear algebra, orthogonality, Gram-Schmidt.
- The Fibonacci sequence.
- Derivative and differentiation theorems.
- Integral and the fundamental theorem of calculus.
- Arc length in calculus.
- Nearly any topic in plane geometry (e.g. law of cosines, law of sines).
- Convex functions and their properties.
