Women, race immaterial, have always been regarded as the mules of the world. The laborers, the nurturers, the homemakers, the educators, the hewers of wood and drawers of water and more recently, and perhaps now more common than before, the defenders of our nation’s freedoms. Women have done it all and without a doubt will continue but at a price that is unaffordable and unobtainable, her mental health. She serves too, dual-hatted, over-worked, often over-looked but with grace.
Presentation objectives include:
1. Describe Mental Health and the Military Woman 2. Identify Mental Health needs and concerns of women in the military
3. Discuss the socio-behavioral detriments of mental health disparities in women in the military. 4. Identify ways to improve mental Health for women in the military.
