Post 1: What Have You Learned?

To describe the current patterns in U.S. immigration and how they differ from previous waves of immigration, answer the following questions:

• What are some of the misconceptions Americans have about immigration and how it impacts cities?
• What evidence is given that immigration has a positive impact on American cities?
• Do you think the importance of ethnic identity is decreasing in American society? Why or why not
• Initial post: The first post is the initial response to the question (due by Friday although students are encouraged to complete it by Thursday). The initial post is your response to the weekly prompt and must contain APA formatted in-text citations to the assigned materials and a corresponding APA formatted reference list. There will be a deduction of 20 points for failure to cite sources within your initial post or failure to provide a reference list at the end of your initial post.
