Use specific examples from film
- Paragraph One- Describe the theatre space on opening scene and its type and/or other observations, etc. What were you anticipating, for example?
Paragraph Two : Choose one or two of the components of theatre to write about. These are covered in chapters 2-9. You must use specific, correct vocabulary terms learned in class and in book to receive credit for paper. Costumes (textures, color, line etc.) Set or setting (textures, color, line, composition, etc.). How do they relate to the dance?
Paragraphs Three: What theme, message, mood, etc. do you think the dance was trying to convey? Entertainment, enlightenment values? What was your personal response to the dances, likes, dislikes and why, etc. How does the music fit in?
Final Paragraph: Summarize thoughts, final conclusions. For example, what surprised you, if anything. Have you seen anything like this before? Compare or contrast to any performance you have seen or participated in? Is it comparable to sports?
