This explains someones opinion as to why the founding fathers WERE NOT democratic reformers

It can be difficult to differenciate democrats and republicans at times. The term democrats has change considerably over the years. If you were to ask someone now and then to define “democrat” you would certainly see similarities but there would equally be at least as many differences. However, I would have to say that the founding fathers were not democratic reformers because the goals and ultimate accomplishments were not democratic. They created a republic and gave rights to individuals, an action that the democratic party wouldn’t necessarily do. This republic they created doesn’t make them democratic reformers. it was stated that the founding fathers did not just do things for themselves but for society as a whole. They wanted the government to be representative, not just representing certain groups. These actions demonstrate the founding fathers as being non-democratic.

The assignment is to argue this statement as to why the founding fathers WERE democratic reformers. 1 paragraph is sufficient.
