Topic/Prompt:
So far in this course, we have considered literature from major world religions (Judaism, Hinduism, Christianity, and Islam). What teaching(s)/value(s) do you find common in these religions? What difference(s) do you find? Do you think such religious texts should be ‘updated’ or ‘modified’ as time goes by? Why or why not? Should religious pieces even be included in a college literature course? Why or why not? Elaborate on each of the above questions with specific examples from the associated pieces.
