Summaries are a helpful tool in reading and writing for numerous reasons. Loglines are a particularly condensed type of summary that tell the story of a whole movie in one sentence. Read the following loglines. Then, write loglines for two movies of your choosing, without saying the title.
After you do that, will ask you to answer the following in four sentences each…
1. Why is summarizing important for academic writing and reading?
2. Why do you think a condensed summary is particularly useful to practice?
