After submitting the initial response you will then Respond to the Student: What about the work they’ve selected interests you? What about their reasoning resonates with you?
As a point of clarification, I would like to say that the thing that you choose to write about does not have to be fine art (though of course it can be). It could be literally anything that you find is a meaningful interpretation or metaphor for how you see / interpret the natural world – an image, an artwork, a song, a film, a political situation, a story, etc. – anything you see as appropriate to explain one way you feel about your or society’s relationship to the natural world. Please remember that it has to relate to the natural world in some way. This should be done in two or three. Be thorough yet succinct in your writing.
