- Review Chapter 15 from the textbook and How to Read a Financial Report (Links to an external site.).
- Conduct research on the company’s results for the most recent year of published annual financial results and the three years that precede it using the database Mergent (Links to an external site.). I chose Abercrombie and Fitch – will provide the data
- On the Mergent site and on your chosen company’s main page, click on Company Financials and then choose in the dropdown menu: (see data attachment)
- First, for the income statement:

- 3 Years/Quarterly
****Repeat the same process for balance sheet – Create Balance sheet and 3 years /quarters
- This spreadsheet should be embedded into your business brief.
- Then Write a 1-2 page business brief, assessing the company’s recent performance over the last three years in terms of (1) its revenue/sales, profitability, liquidity, and leverage, and (2) in comparison to its industry competitors.
