The file attached contains all goals needed to be accomplished. In this submission, I only want help in group project 1. If I received positive feedback, I will be more than happy to work with you on more group projects.
First, this is a parallel project initiated by the company’s management and owners based on their experience in the sector, that is intended to explore and validate (or falsify) whether a concept for a business model that has been proposed based on significant evidence we have acquired, may be valuable, achievable and lucrative.
This is an important way to grasp the underlying dynamics that are behind this project.
Moving on then, your initial task here is one of visualization based on real data, both quantitative and qualitative. The entire sector is effectively behind the scenes to anyone who is not by necessity, actually planning for it. That said, it is possible (and is almost certainly the best way to gain a strategic understanding of the subject) to develop a business-based POV from research from the top down. I suggest you focus on finding articles on grant programs and the way they work first. There is enough of a body of articles now to do this.
When you start to seek hard data, focus on the largest cities. “Asia”… is big, that the “business of grant application” can become quite amorphous and hard to characterize. It will be nice to get some aggregate numbers, but more useful to build a picture of the process in different areas that comprise the bulk of the whole. This allows us to see what is similar (or universal), and to see if there are differences in how the market for “supplying” application services is different under different conditions, etc.
If you focus on the largest areas where Innovation Grants are disbursed Taipei in Taiwan for example, Seoul, Korea, and certainly Beijing in China (which by one measure has nearly 3% of the world’s total scientific research).
Call these first-tier “innovation project” targets. Then add context from some other Asian centers of innovative research activity in India and the Middle East. From here you can define a general profile FROM the differences (as much as the similarities) while at the same time forming a POV on the nature of the “sector”.
