Victorian Poem Analysis (Need in 1 hour and 30 mins)

Choose ONE of these poems: “Dover Beach,” “The Cry of the Children,” or “Jabberwocky.”
For “Dover Beach”: Chart the poem’s use of image and sound; describe the visual and aural effects that you notice, and explain how their interplay contributes to the poem’s meaning.
For “Cry of the Children”: Explain how EBB’s critique might be considered an extension of the politics we saw in some of Blake’s poems about children; you can consider the use of nature, the representation of religion, and the appeal to a national conscience.
For “Jabberwocky”: Choose a handful of nonsense words and explain what they mean; make sure to identify the correct part of speech. Explain how you can determine meaning for a non-existent word. What conclusions can you reach about nonsense verse?
