I’m working on a anthropology discussion question and need an explanation to help me study.
I have three discussions here. I need more than 6-8 sentences for the three discussions from a short reading and pictures. I also need three replies for the three different discussions. After I get my discussions from you, I will provide the three different discussions that you need to reply to. The replies will be more than 6 sentences too. it is necessary to use critical thinking and the amount of effort to address the questions from an anthropological perspective. Details instruction will be provided upon approval.
POST 1
Anthropologists Chagnon and Neel were among the most controversial during the mid-’70s and ’80s; their fieldwork report sparked fierce ethical debate within the anthropology community. Given both anthropologists’ approach to conducting their fieldwork on the study of evolution, many of his critics or anthropologists would raise an ethical question regarding his observation method within the particular community and the implications. The anthropologist code of ethics is the principle within each discipline; from an anthropologist’s perspective upholding the code of ethics is the tenet and foundation of studying human behavior and human culture.
This clearly did its implication within the political dynamic that displays a power inequality within science and research. One would argue that why do we have to research non-nonindustrial communities continuously? Are these communities are control group for our interest research that would benefit the industrial nations? Wouldn’t it be unethical?
To understand the world surrounding us, we don’t need to have a scientific mind, and we just need an open mind. But, unfortunately, I think both anthropologists didn’t mind the code of ethics and imposed their harsh morals on the indigenous people, which sparked a measles epidemic and conflict within two villages.
POST 2
Hostile Terrain 94 is a truly unique and poignant exhibit based on the real experiences of those attempting to cross the United States border. It allows visitors to form a personal connection to those who have perished by viewing the remnants of their life firsthand. Worn sneakers, clothes, tattered belongings, and foot tags for those both identified and unidentified all illuminate the harsh conditions people were willing to risk their life to escape from. Additionally, religious relics have been found showing that faith carried many of these individuals through their perilous journey which eventually came to an end. Jason De León’s artistic showcase does not only spread awareness of how many people have risked their lives for opportunity in the United States, but the dreadful conditions they go through just for a glimpse of hope. Surely international governments can come to an agreement on more humane procedures of encouraging or dissuading immigration which would hopefully result in the immense decrease of lives lost.
