I’m working on a religion writing question and need guidance to help me learn.

Judaism has many “high holy days,” such as Rosh Hashanah, Sukkot, and Yom Kippur.  They are days set aside to reflect on one’s relationship to God.

In an original 100-word response – Is this practice a good or bad thing?  In other words, should certain days have precedence over others in Godly reflection?

Read Brodd – Chapters 10-11

One of the touchstones of the Jewish religion is the idea of “exile and return.” It is the concept upon which of the history of this religion is based. One of these exiles was from Israel to Egypt and the return to “The Promised Land” was epic.

After reading your text – and maybe the Book of Exodus in the Holy Bible – watch this supplemental video for more background and context.

Suppose you were an Israelite slave in Egypt and now you are witnessing Moses coming down Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments. In 250 words, describe as a narrative (a story you write in first person) at least one part of the journey from Egypt to the Sinai wilderness.
