Essay 1 should be a Rogerian argument, which means that it should include a direct quotation in opposition to your claim.
Here post three (3) possible topics for your Essay 1, including your claim and an opposing claim with a direct quotation supporting the opposing view, thus:
example:
topic: global warming
claim: Global warming is real and caused by humans.
opposing claim: Global warming is cyclical and natural.
