This is the poem that I have to write about.
Find your poem in the textbook or on the Internet. Read it. Research it. Create at least four paragraphs:
1st paragraph: Give the title of the poem, the author, the date, and two or three sentences about what you think the author is trying to say based only on your first reading of the poem. If you have no idea, that’s OK. Just take a guess.
2nd paragraph: Research and summarize a criticism from a professional source (not a blog). Make sure you document it in the essay and on a separate Works Cited page.(Remember to cite all your sources using the MLA documentation). Add in any relevant lines in the poem to support their opinion.

4th paragraph: Give your opinion of what you think the poem is saying after you have read and reported on the two other sources and if it was effective. Write at least three sentences of your opinion.
