For this section of the module, we will attempt to do two things. First, we will talk about the idea of media literacy and connect media literacy to social studies. Second, we will narrow our media literacy focus to selecting content videos for students. For the assignment, you will find 5 videos about your topic on YouTube. You will critically review those videos and compose a 3-4 page report discussing your analysis. We will decide in class how to analyze the videos, what to look for and think about, and what format the analysis should take. We will also decide how these reports should connect to our larger discussion about media literacy.
