submit an analysis of Mary Dyer’s execution in Boston as it relates to religion in Massachusetts, and to women in colonial America. You should consider the following questions:
- To what degree do you believe the Puritans came to the New World for religious freedom?
- To what degree did they allow religious freedom within their settlements?
- Why were the Society of Friends (Quakers) a threat to the Puritan community?
- Why was Mary Dyer in particular a threat to the Puritans of Boston?
This assignment should be at least 450-650 words and contain your reactions or questions about some specific issue within the historical narrative which you find compelling.
