a)     Clearly state the social issue of interest,   and your research topic. For context, briefly state the practical research problem from which your question(s) arise. Discuss the problem, issue or incident that triggered your research question or topic (2 Marks).

b)     Critical analyze reasons for selecting that specific social issue. (2 Mark).

c)     Introduce your epistemological and ontological comprehension of social reality and how these philosophical orientation will impact  your   research undertaking. (2 marks).

d)     Develop a clear research question(s) that speaks to your interest on the social issue. Discuss the conceptual framework and operationalization. (2 Marks) 

e)      State the purpose and objectives of your research. To do this, you will have to think about the usefulness of your research project to/in the  community? In other words, why are you undertaking this research project? What is the goal of this research undertaking? (3 marks). 

f)     What theoretical framework(s) will you rely on? Is there a author or group of authors you are relying on for your theoretical framework? (2 mark)

Your assignment must adhere to the following guideline: (2 mark)

Assignment must be 3 – 4 pages in length, excluding cover or reference page(s).

Use Font 12, Times New Roman, unjustified one-inch margins

Use APA referencing format.

The maximum number of sources (articles, books, etc.) to be utilized in this assignment is 8 and at least 4 of which must be from the course readings. (Referencing/sources must be within a 10 years range, that is, these articles must be from 2011 – present).
