Your manager has given you the list of medical terms that she would like included in the quick reference guide. Your job is to define the terms and structure the reference guide in a way that is clear for all employees. Using the medical terms list and slides 1–63 of the Understanding Medical Words tutorial (in the Supporting Materials section) below, as well as additional credible resources, create your reference guide, keeping in mind the following requirements:

The guide should be in a 2- to 3-page handout and should include (but is not limited to) the following information:

  1. For each medical term, break down the word into its multiple parts and explain the meaning of each part.
  2. Determine the prefix, suffix, and root of each medical term.
  3. Identify the correct acronym and/or abbreviation for all relevant medical terms.
  4. Identify each term as either being associated with a clinical or nonclinical role.
  5. Describe the function of each category of prescribed pharmaceutical drug

  7. Every project has a deliverable or deliverables, which are the files that must be submitted before your project can be assessed. For this project, you must submit the following:Reference Guide
    Your 2- to 3-page reference guide will focus on identifying common categories of prescribed drugs, learning common parts (and meanings) of medical terms, and identifying the roles associated with those terms. Your reference guide should use 12-pt. Times New Roman font and double spacing, be free of grammatical and spelling errors, and include citations for all resources used to research this topic. Using the resources listed in the Supporting Materials section as well as other credible resources will help you successfully complete this project.
