These essay (2–3 pages; this is a suggestion and not a page limit) essays analyze historical documents found in the respective folders .The essay requires that you quote each document . After the quotation, include the citation in parentheses. For example, if you quote the textbook, at the end of the quotation put (Text, p. 254). If you are quoting a document, put the title of the document in the parentheses—(Gospel of Wealth). When you quote from sources outside of the documents and the text, the citations must be Chicago Manual of Style format. You are responsible for knowing that particular style.
