Data-driven decision making is key to building a successful organization. It removes biases and allows leaders to make decisions that are rooted in facts and not fictitious presumptions. Being part of a remote workforce means you cannot drop by someone’s desk to see how they are doing but you can definitely look at the numbers and get insights.
This exercise tests your ability to read and analyze data and create insights that are based on facts and not intuitions. In this ATTACHMENT, we provide you with a list of tasks assigned to team members along with their statuses (‘Data’ tab). Your task is to:
- Read and answer the questions in the ‘Instructions’ tab of the spreadsheet.
- Make sure to make a copy of the spreadsheet and set the sharing permissions as per the instructions below.
Evaluation criteria
- The correct numbers are extracted from the data
- Insights are data-driven and not based on non-factual presumptions
