I’m working on a hospitality question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

No matter how good a technology, there is always the possibility that there will be an unexpected downtime. For this assignment, you will be asked to create a contingency plan for when your technology goes down. Please consider what you will need to have for your specific technology and how you will specifically address concerns of guests and employees during that time.

For the scope of this assignment, you will include:

Communication – how will you communicate your plans? In language games, we discussed how different people have different images in their heads and sometimes language is an imperfect tool. In hospitality, we use many industry specific terms that our customers may not understand but are necessary for our team. For this section, I want you to write three emails that describe what your team will be doing to prepare for the shutdown and how it will impact each of the following stakeholders. Then, I want you to write at least 1 paragraph explaining how you varied your language in each of these emails.

  • Email 1: The guests
  • Email 2: Your team members
  • Email 3: The general manager of the property
