Please make sure to include analyses for all the hypotheses of your study. Your results sectrion should include the following:
Results – GOAL: To report findings and data upon which findings are based
- Hypotheses restated
- Clearly and concisely restate the hypothesis before presenting findings
- Data: Descriptive Statistics
- Accurately report descriptive statistics (e.g. M, SD, r, %) upon which the statement of findings is based
- Data: Inferential Statistics
- Accurately report the inferential measures that support conclusions about statistical significance (i.e., test type, obtained value, df, p-value, effect size)
- Findings
- Accurately, clearly, and precisely state findings in words (e.g. experimental group scored higher than control group)
- State in words if the hypothesis was supported or rejected
- Tables/Figures – NOT required, only use if necessary and appropriate.
- Use tables and figures as aids to communicating findings; ∙
