University of The Cumberlands R and R Studio Installation Essay

The practice of analyzing and visualizing data will be accomplished through the use of the R programming language.

Two items must be downloaded for this course: R and RStudio.

Do not submit screenshots.

After installing these two programs you need to document a few things about this experience. When you document this information, you will need to write it as a paper. This is not a blog, a discussion, or a short answer paper. You will need to include an introduction, a topic sentence, supporting paragraphs, and a conclusion. Not great at writing? Go to Start Here in the main menu and look at the resources available to you. Make sure that you document your work using the standards of APA 7. To help with formatting use the APA 7 Paper Template.

  • What version of R is installed on your device?
    • You can find this information after opening RStudio at the top of the Console pane. That pane is the bottom-left pane by default.
  • What packages and packages’ versions were attached when you called the library tidyverse?
    • Install the package tidyverse. After installing, call the library tidyverse.
    • Use the console output to determine what version of tidyverse is installed on your device.
  • Did you encounter any issues during installation or collecting the information?
    • If you did, how were the issues solved?
    • If you did not, explain what could have made this process easier
