The assignment this week is to read and analyze the Forecasting Case Study. After reading the case study, please answer the following questions. Each of these questions should be answered with thoughtful, well-reasoned arguments. When you are asked for your opinion, the expectation is that you will be using the resources provided to you in this course to make your argument. Any outside resources must be cited by using in-text citations and proper APA references at the end. This assignment is worth 20 points.
- What type of company was studied? What kind of product did they sell? What is their geographic reach? Why is demand forecasting in this business?
- What types of models did the author use? Please give a brief summary of each, using research and citations to help you with the definitions.
- What types of forecasting errors were used? Which method was most effective?
- What were the authors conclusions and recommendations? Do you think this could be applied to other hospitality companies?
