Write a research paper, your topic is “Social Media Information Systems”. The paper must be at least 3000 words (six pages), typed, double-spaced with 1-inch margins and in 12 point, Times New Roman font. Students should make sure all sources are cited (on the reference page AND in the text) per MLA, APA, or Footnote guidelines. Students should also make sure all sources used are credible. Failure to use appropriate sources or citations in your paper will result in a “0” (zero) per the Academic Honesty Policy. Papers will include a historical look at the topic, the social and business significance of the topic (why is it important, why should I care about it, how do you see this impacting commerce, etc.), and the student’s position, thoughts, or ideas in relation to the topic. Remember, the instructor should be able to grade your understanding of the topic and its importance in society and to the business environment. Papers that are regurgitated (large portions that are cut & paste from other sources) and lack depth will receive fewer points. Students must prove to the professor that they not only understand the material but can apply it to their thoughts and/or experiences to the “real world.”
