Students are required to write a reflective essay regarding their perceptions, attitudes, and knowledge of MIS towards the end of the term. The essay must be at least 2000 words (four pages), typed, double-spaced with 1-inch margins and in 12 point, Times New Roman font. This essay should be a narrative written in the first person. This essay should include personal and educational experiences as well as information gained through the supplemental materials, The Phoenix Project novel, class discussions, and/or other outside research.
The following questions will guide the writing but are not restrictive:
- What are the 5 key takeaways about MIS? Were those takeaways unexpected, helpful, etc.?
- How will the course content apply to the student’s personal or professional future?
- What obstacles do you think you might encounter and how do you think you might deal with those challenges (in MIS) while in the contemporary business environment?
- What did the student learn about herself/himself while covering the course content
