Exam: Assigned Case Study Analysis Your instructor will assign you your disaster for your case study analysis. If you have not been assigned a disaster, please reach out to your instructor. Your analysis using scholarly library and internet sources should assess the state of your knowledge about the disaster you were assigned and provide an analysis that includes: ? A brief (1–2 page) description of the disaster and the emergency management effort ? The nature and location of the disaster (i.e., natural or technological/man-made) ? The number of human casualties and amount of property loss ? Social and economic demographics and vulnerabilities of the area ? The government(s) having jurisdictional responsibility and involvement in the disaster response and recovery effort ? The involvement of nonprofit and for-profit actors in the response and recovery effort ? The major planning and policy issues raised (e.g., lack of mitigation effort, the inadequacy of preparedness, response failure, recovery problems, etc.) ? The disaster planning the community had undertaken before the incident ? Lessons learned
