Double-Consciousness a term coined by the late great Sociologist W.E.B Du Bois meaning a conflict that a black person experiences in the oppressive society by the oppressors where some is always observing one’s self through the eyes of a oppressor, and one being measures by oneself in a world that has looked down upon us. In other words as a black to the oppressor we will always fall short of and never be equal enough that even though you’re intelligent you’re always the black intelligent person and not just the intelligent person.
