University of California San Diego Misery by Stephen King Multipart Question

Misery:

1. We’ve gone from a novel (It) by Stephen King with a large cast of characters, lots of physical action/adventure, a complex horror agent who appears in many different forms to a novel (Misery) by Stephen King with two characters, one of whom is confined to a bed/wheelchair, little to no physical action, and a deranged human horror agent. Which do you like better–an innie or an outie (King’s terms)? Why? Which generates more horror?

2. Like in Gerald’s Game also by Stephen King (also an innie) the aftermath of the experience is not narrated in detail. We jump to a moment later in time. Why?

If you have any questions on the terms innie and outie or need help accessing the novels please let me know, I am sure all of this is well explained online and there are ways to find the information you need.
