I’m trying to learn for my Business class and I’m stuck. Can you help?
A very important element of negotiation is persuasion—getting others to see, understand, and accept your point of view. Some people rely on a very limited set of persuasive strategies, while others use different styles in different situations. Understanding your own preferred approaches to persuasion is a first step in learning how to adapt styles to meet different persuasive challenges, in negotiation encounters as well as in other social and professional settings.
Provide a Power- Point Presentation on
- The persuasive strategies with which you are personally most comfortable,
- The strategies that you feel are necessary to get ahead, and
- Analyze the difference between these two (one comfortable with and ones you believe are necessary to get ahead) and discuss what stops you from using these tactics/strategies and what it will take to include them when you negotiate.
