University of Bridgeport Persuasive Strategies Presentation

I’m trying to learn for my Business class and I’m stuck. Can you help?

A very important element of negotiation is persuasion—getting others to see, understand, and accept your point of view.  Some people rely on a very limited set of persuasive strategies, while others use different styles in different situations. Understanding your own preferred approaches to persuasion is a first step in learning how to adapt styles to meet different persuasive challenges, in negotiation encounters as well as in other social and professional settings.

Provide a Power- Point Presentation on

  1. The persuasive strategies with which you are personally most comfortable,
  2. The strategies that you feel are necessary to get ahead, and
  3. Analyze the difference between these two (one comfortable with and ones you believe are necessary to get ahead) and discuss what stops you from using these tactics/strategies and what it will take to include them when you negotiate.
