For this assignment, you will continue analyzing data collected with Netlytic. As part of this assignment:
Select two individuals, groups, and/or organizations active in Twitter that have some connection to a professional topic of interest to you with a connection to security globally.
You may continue with data worked on in the previous week, perhaps updating the topic with additional research pulls using Netlytic OR
- You may collect data using an entirely new topic and continue without reference to your prior assignment.
Collect a body of tweets from each of the individuals, groups, or organizations.
- Conduct text and network analysis of data collected through the use of Netlytic for each individual/group/org under study.
Write a short analytic report comparing the collected data to answer these questions, as applicable:
- TEXT ANALYSIS
- What are the popular topics occurring in the conversation? Is there crossover between the two organizations you’ve selected to explore?
- Do the conversations have a negative or positive connotation? What categories were popular? Where any categories that appeared surprising? Can any similarities be draw between both organizations
- How did topics change over time for both organizations? Did changes occur in relation to specific organization events or campaigns?
NETWORK ANALYSIS
- Compare the networks for each individual/group/organization. How are they similar? Different?
